CAS IR 324 - American Policy-Making in the Global Era: International Trade, Finance, Innovation, and the Global Corporation
(Meets with CAS PO 280E.) Examines American international economic decision-making in a changing global economy. Addresses current theories of International Political Economy with respect to trade, finance, and the development of global corporations. Explores how American policy shaped the post World War II global economy.

(Meets with CAS GE 594.) Key concepts, actors, concerns, and issues related to the process of negotiating global environmental policies. Overviews of the international system and environmental problems; an international negotiation simulation; case studies of global agreements on ozone depletion, climate change, desertification, and biodiversity, among others.

Surveys key economic theories, trends, tools, and debates that affect international affairs. Thematic focus includes: stability and growth, global inequality, and global climate change. Covers theory and history, statistical analysis, case studies, and political economy applications.

GRS IR 606 - Global Economic & Development Policy
Intermediate level survey of the contemporary politics, economics and policy questions in the international economy: theories of international political economy and international economics; politics of international economic institutions; analyses of industrial development, foreign investment, global and regional trade and poverty alleviation. This course cannot be taken for credit in addition to the course with the same title that was previously numbered GRS IR 704.
